my recent book haul ✨

Hello friends, I returned with a book haul post for you this time! I recently went to Dubai for a work trip and when I saw a giant Books Kinokuniya shop at Dubai Mall, I could not stop. I simply couldn’t. I forgot about all the brands and luxury and paid all I have left to books and it was the most amazing decision I have ever made. No regrets. Not a single one. I got four books from Kinokuniya and the rest of them are from Amazon since there was a huge spring sale! Now, let me show you what I got!

Many best-sellers are either too expensive or impossible to find here in Turkey, even Amazon doesn’t have most of them, and I had to get the three I couldn’t find for months because I knew I had no chance but this. The first book I got is Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros, I do not plan on reading it any time soon, however, it is simply not available on Amazon and I couldn’t wait for a friend to bring me one from overseas, so when I saw it, I added in my basket.

The second book is Misconduct by Penelope Douglas. I recently read one of her books and I enjoyed it, her language was good, so I decided to get another one and have the joy of physical copy reading instead of an e-book. (Do not get me wrong, I am very happy with e-books, however, sometimes experience matters in certain books.)

The third and fourth books are the infamous Cat & Mouse Duet. You have no idea how happy I was when I saw them in the store. They were impossible to find and although they were quite expensive, I had to get them because nothing would do justice to these books if I did not read them physically and quote whatever I needed. They look amazing, the printing quality is on point, and everything is just perfect.

The last book I got from Kinokuniya was another Colleen Hoover book, Maybe Now. I somehow managed to get the first book on Amazon but found the second one there, it was on sale and I grabbed it when I saw it.

The sixth book is another Colleen Hoover book, Without Merit. I specially heard a lot about this one and since I am enjoying the author’s books, I wanted to get it while it was on sale as well. Usually in these sales, amazon drops them up to 50%, so it was a great deal.

As for the upcoming few books, you will see only one author: Sylvia Day. I really like her books and I have been reading them for years, I do like the romance aspect and the “enough” drama she presents in her books so I got several of them to binge read. I do not think I will like anything more than her Crossfire series, however, Let’s see how these books go too.

The seventh and eighth books are again from her and it is the first two books of a series. I have heard a lot about the Georgian series and I am happy to get the first book, Ask for It and the second book Passion for the Game.

The ninth book is Spellbound, a paranormal stand-alone romance. It is rare for paranormal romances to be stand-alone books so I am excited to see how it goes.

The tenth book is In the Flesh, yet another stand-alone. I specifically got stand-alone books to binge-read because I truly hope that they will get me out of this reading slump I have been struggling with.

The eleventh book of my haul is Stranger I Married, I plan on reading this before the end of March and getting on track!

For the twelfth book, I got an author I had never read before. I got Hideaway by Nore Roberts. The Goodreads rating is very good for this book, I am excited to read it since it is also a stand-alone romance mystery, something we do not see very often.

Then I went completely off track with my “usual” genre by the thirteenth book. Queens of Jerusalem: The Women Who Dared to Rule by Katherine Pangonis, is a historical non-fiction and I have been interested in the history of the area, mainly because of the documentaries we keep watching with my husband and I thought it could give me a good insight to understand what I like and dislike and further research to learn.

The last book of the haul is Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert. It is a contemporary romance and these kinds of soft romance books make me really happy too, so I wanted to give this one a try too!

Overall, it was a great haul for me, and I promised myself that before finishing all my physical TBR (17 books to be exact), I would get no more. I hope to finish them before June!

Thank you for being here and I will see you in my next post! Bye! 🌸
