2025 gaming setup 🎮

Hello friends! 👻 Welcome to my blog, thank you for taking the time to be here. Today I am back with a different type of post, I want to share with you the room in which I spend most of my days and since I finally finished the interior of my home office/hobby room/gaming room! This project has been going on since I started working my job job, a small detail is that I work fully remotely for an international company in the sales department, and spending almost 10 hours in this place daily required some changes that would make me happy while working here. This took 2 years in total and I went through some different decisions with the room but overall I am happy where I am right now; while I still have so many plans to make this room even better for myself and my husband, this felt like a good stopping point for now. Let me introduce you to my safe space- and one thing I must say is that I will not include my shelves in this post because I want to focus on my gaming setup. Let’s get into it! (❁´◡`❁)

First things first! Let’s talk about the computer itself. At the moment, I do not own a proper gaming setup, I am using my Casper Excalibur Gaming Laptop as my computer, and while it definitely is a strong fella, my goal is to have a full white build until the end of 2026, I am saving up for a mid-range gaming build for myself and my husband because he has recently started playing as well and we are comfortable using one computer only, so one computer which is good with performance and also price will be enough for us.

Here is the overall look of my desk! I am using two monitors because of work not for gaming, if I genuinely did not need a second screen, I would get a curved 32” or bigger screen, however since my company works on a server that cannot be used separately, I need two screens: one to keep the server open and work from there when needed, and one (the horizontal one) for doing my work comfortably instead of dealing with an immensely slow server daily.

My desk is IKEA TROTTEN, it is a manual standing desk and I got it second hand from a young couple who did not use it at all, besides three minor scratches, this baby came less than half the price and it is HUGE! I am in love with it. It has ample space, it looks clean, and overall a good purchase considering how expensive IKEA furnitures are these days (^///^). My monitors are vastly different from each other: one is a very basic monitor without much to talk about, and the other is a mid-range gaming screen. The one that stands vertically is a Philips 23.8″ 241V8AW/00 75Hz 4ms IPS FullHD, I simply purchased it because it was white and it has been doing its job well enough, and the gaming one is Samsung Odyssey G5 G50d 27″, while it sometimes annoys me because it is not white, it is by far my favourite thing I purchased for my setup. This screen is like butter, it is big enough to enjoy and not as tiring as a bigger one would be since I have two screens.

The wrist support is a very cheap cloud one from TEMU, and my desk mat is also from there, however, the quality of both of these items is simply meh, and I already have a new desk mat, a proper one for gaming, ready to be purchased lol. My white wireless mouse is from Kagito, a Turkish brand, and I only use it for working, my gaming mouse is a Crown Micro one. Not a very good one so I will not be recommending it to you. The light on the right is from IKEA and the cat one is from Aliexpress, finally, I have an anime figure I purchased from TEMU as well. Both monitors are connected by NB dual monitor arm, which is fairly durable and the only brand that actually shipped to my country on Amazon. I am glad that I got it though, it is a safe option for both the desk and the screens.

Recently I have upgraded myself to a proper mechanical keyboard. I chose AKKO 5075B Plus Shine-Through RGB Wireless Keyboard, not because I know a lot about keyboards, but because it was a brand I have been following for a while and comes with the cutest designs. Of course, I know myself so choosing a very colourful one would only last me a while since I seem to get bored of every colour in time besides white. So far it is good, I had no issues regarding the connection or battery, the only thing I can complain is probably about me, I couldn’t find a proper drive so the colour selection of my drive is incredibly small and somehow.. they just look too fake, not soft enough. I’ll figure it out later though.

The last few things I want to talk about are my new controller and some accessories. For games like Genshin, Hades etc, I chose an Xbox controller for whatever reason I had at that time, and so far I am loving it. Robotic White is the most minimal colour they had, and it is small, has a good grip, easy to use. I have never used a controller for gaming before since I always played on computers, and I think it has a learning curve but definitely was a good purchase. To keep it on my desk, I have a Hollow Knight stand, and an acrylic phone holder. Using two mobiles is kind of annoying but I usually keep my work phone there to keep an eye just in case someone reaches out to me (which often happens sadly).

As a chair, I am using a typical, cheap-ass gaming chair, I purchased a pink cover and a neck pillow to make the ugly black and yellow easier to look at. Overall, while it is open to developments, I love my room. I love my space. Spending 10 hours a day in a small space was mentally draining before but now that I have turned this place into my habitat, I feel at ease.

I hope you enjoyed this post! See you in the next one friends! ⭐
