october wrap up 2023 ☕

Hello friends! Welcome to a new blog post. 🌸 It has been months since I shared a wrap-up post because I haven’t been very consistent with reading, however, here I am with great books this month! I was on a train this month, and although work is horrible at the moment, it somehow pushes me to read more to get my head away from it. Let me tell you the books I read this month!⭐

#1 Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
Fourth Wing almost ended up being one of the books I stopped reading. It took me a month to finish, but not because I was slow. In September, I took it in my hands and promised myself to finish it. However, I had a trip to Moscow and finished the book in October. It was a total roller-coaster! I was in love with it. Crazily. Incredibly! I cannot wait for the second book!

#2 The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy
The Perfect Mother was my first thriller in years. I really enjoyed it, I will not lie, however, it was just a very standard book if you ask me. Although it is a thriller, the underlying messages make the book much more fun to read.

#3 The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
The Hating Game is easily one of my all-time favourite romance books I’ve read in my life. It was twisting me inside out while I read it; it was filled with understanding, a little drama, some sexual tension, a little spice but most of all, great characters to read. I truly enjoyed every page of it!

#4 November 9 by Colleen Hoover
Where do I start with this book? It wasn’t what I expected for sure. It was different and reminded me of my memories here and there, but most of all, it was so well-written and had great character development. The characters’ pain, honesty, and reality were incredibly well done. Please give this book a chance!

#5 Echoes of Scotland Street by Samantha Young
Years and years ago, I started the first book of the series and now I am finally picking it up again. Although I do not read them in order, I am in love with the series! It has been so long since I’ve read the first book but seeing the tribe, learning about how years passed for them… It is phenomenal to watch. If you enjoy good old erotica romance, do give this series a chance!

#6 God of Pain by Rina Kent
This book killed me. I wasn’t expecting this series to be any good, and do not get me wrong, I am in no way glorifying how dysfunctional these characters are; but, sometimes –as a dark romance reader– this mess is all you want. It broke me in millions of pieces and this is the second book and it is too early to decide, I am aware but Creighton might be my favourite of all these characters.

Overall, I would say that this month was a productive month for me. I enjoyed every book I’ve read and I hope to continue reading like this throughout November as well! I hope your month was great too! Until I see you in my next blog post, take care! 💕
