Hello friends, welcome back to another end-of-month post. I cannot believe how fast April went by! In two months we will be done with the first half of 2023 and I don’t want to believe it. This month was great in terms of reading because I read many books and enjoyed many beautiful comics & manga. I cannot wait to share them all with you! ❤✨

#1 The Wicked King by Holly Black (The Folk of the Air #2)
The first book of the month was this amazing sequel to the first book The Cruel Prince. I did enjoy the first book back then but The Wicked King exceeded my expectations in every possible way! I cannot tell you how pleased I am with the series and I cannot wait to see the rest of the series! 5 glowing ⭐s for this masterpiece!
#2 The Devil’s Disciple by Shiro Hamao
The Devil’s Disciple was a quick read for me. I am pretty new to Japanese classics but from everything I’ve read so far, this book had a similar theme focusing on human nature’s darkest sides. It was interesting to read the first story in letter form, a man explaining his antics and accusation to his old friend, explaining that his distorted nature is with him because of “him”. I enjoyed it very much!

#3-15 Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami
Okay, binging 15 volumes of this manga wasn’t the healthiest thing for me but I could not drop it from my hand. I’m a huge fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, you may know about this however I was keeping myself away from the manga while waiting for the second season, mainly because I hate waiting for new chapters every week and I get too hyped about it very quickly. On the 13th, I thought to myself, what would be better than reading the published volumes since the second season is around the corner? (Ha! Not so close but still.) I ended up reading 15 volumes in one night+day, oh my god I do not have any regrets! Akutami blew my mind in every volume! ❤
#16 The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black
I was very hyped after the second book and I wanted to wrap up the series this month! I am so glad that I did! Holly Black may be one of my favourite writers and considering that I met her long ago with Spiderwick, I feel really close to her writing. Queen of Nothing was a blast, Cardan was a blast, Jude was phenomenal and everything unravelled so well! 5⭐s for the last book of the series!

#17 Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
I’ve written here before that I will do my best to read more classics/modern classics in 2023 and so far I managed to sneak at least one book into each month. For April, I wanted to give a shot to the famous Spanish author Marquez and read one of his books. I’m quite new to Spanish classical literature but I want to get into it more like I did in Japanese literature.
This was the list of my books for April friends! How was your month and what did you read? I am always open for recommendations so feel free to send some book names to me, take care! 💖
